REDSTEEL

REDSTEEL combines quality with an increased resistance to atmospheric corrosion (so-called “Weathering steel”). Primary attribute of the REDSTEEL materials lies in its ability to generate on their surfaces a coat of oxides (patina), which significantly slows down the corrosion processes. In a very original way it is also making a unique finish from design point of view. The REDSTEEL materials are of the low-alloyed type, containing small amount of alloying elements (Cr, Cu, Ni and P).

Sheets, cut parts, and components in the REDSTEEL quality are mainly attractive when to be used in the following areas:
  • ENERGY INDUSTRY
  • ARCHITECTURE
  • INTERIORS
  • DESIGN

Advantages

  • Economy: minimized maintenance cost mainly when used in inaccessible locations
  • Ecology: 100% recyclability
  • Efficiency: simple processing, extended life
  • Energy industry: thermal stability up to 545 °C
  • Design: attractive and exceptional appearance

REDSTEEL and Energy Industry

REDSTEEL is often used in energy industry, mainly in production:

  • heat exchangers
  • air heaters
  • steel chimneys and their inner lining

REDSTEEL and Architecture

REDSTEEL is an attractive material for the use in architecture, mainly in creating the final look of facade as a whole or their parts. Its use has design-related, but also practical advantages (it is unnecessary to make finishes and this is a significant saving in economy mainly where adverse weather conditions prevail. Provided a suitable combination (weathering steel – stone – wood or concrete) its functional and aesthetic values are very high. Do not be afraid to use REDSTEEL even on private buildings – the result is always interesting and original.

REDSTEEL and options of its processing
in the Service Centre of UnionOcel Kopřivnice

The following options are available in our Storage & Service Centre in Kopřivnice:

  • sheet metal in thickness 1–30 mm, storage formats 1,000–2,000 mm wide and up to 12,000 mm long can be delivered
  • cut parts produced on laser, plasma, or oxyacetylene cutting machines
  • production of bent and machined components

We make use of our plentiful experience and references when designing and do our best to achieve sizeable savings on your funds.
